A wide range of simple and complex equipment may be recommended to support personal care, mobility, transfers, seating and positioning, community access, and manual handling. In addition, as a driver-trained occupational therapist, I am also qualified to assess for vehicle modifications, including wheelchair hoists, wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions, and alternative driving controls to support safe and independent driving.
