
An OT Driving Assessment is a specialist assessment used to help determine whether a person's medical condition, disability or functional changes may affect their ability to drive safely.
A formal OT Driving Assessment is often requested by a medical practitioner, Transport for NSW or another relevant authority when there are concerns about the impact of physical, cognitive, sensory or medical factors on driving.
The purpose of the assessment is to understand functional driving-related skills and make recommendations about safety, licensing requirements, driving conditions, rehabilitation or further steps.
There are usually two components to an OT Driving Assessment:
